You will start your day out at Snow Canyon at sunrise on top of an ancient petrified sand dune watching as the magic of this place slowly begins to take shape and color.
As you hike back to the parking lot this will be your view and your next location.
Once you are back to your car you will drive north about 5-10 minutes just outside the park. At this next location you will get to witness pure white petrified sand dunes erode back into soft sugar like sand. The hike is about 15-20 minutes each way.
“I can not believe how much we fit into a day. From sunrise to sunset this was spectacular” – Mike N
Take a short break for breakfast and a quick coffee, but don’t take too long. You are going to take I-15 north about 45 minute drive to Kanarravile Falls. Click here for more info about this hike.
Next dry off and head into Cedar City and grab a bite for lunch. Centros and Pastry Pub are two local favorites that I promise you can’t go wrong with.
Take SR- up Cedar Canyon and make your way to Kolob Reservoir. You will actually be heading to Kolob Terrace and you will be stopping here and here.
Now head down to Virgin, Utah, This town is just outside of Zion National Park to the west, but we are going to be heading back to I-15 and loop back up near to Kanarraville Falls, but you are going to stop off at Kolob Canyon to watch the sunset and the canyon walls to the east bathed in the evening light.
